O CETEPE localiza-se na \u00e1rea 1 do campus da USP em S\u00e3o Carlos, situada na Av. Trabalhador s\u00e3o-carlense, 400.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sobre o palestrante<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.s3l.be\/en\/kerschen\" target=\"_blank\">Ga\u00ebtan Kerschen<\/a> \u00e9 professor de engenharia aeroespacial no Departamento de Engenharia Aeroespacial e Mec\u00e2nica da Universidade de Li\u00e8ge, na B\u00e9lgica. Ele fundou e dirige o Laborat\u00f3rio de Estruturas Espaciais e Sistemas (S3L). Suas publica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o principalmente nas \u00e1reas de din\u00e2mica estrutural (com um foco particular em aeronaves e estruturas de sat\u00e9lite) e mec\u00e2nica orbital. Ele ministra cursos de engenharia de sat\u00e9lites, vibra\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o lineares e astrodin\u00e2mica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Resumo da palestra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The concept of resonance is central in structural dynamics, because the maximum amplitude at which a system or a product vibrates occurs at resonance frequencies. Unlike linear systems, nonlinear systems can exhibit different types of resonances including fundamental, internal and isolated resonances. In this presentation, we show how the nonlinear normal mode (NNM) theory can be exploited for a thorough understanding of the impact of nonlinearity on system dynamics.
