The project aims at:<br \/>\n(i) further developing the group&#8217;s LES solver to introduce state-of-the-art methods for the simulation of turbulent Hydrogen flames at different regimes,<br \/>\n(ii) conduct high-fidelity simulations to study the flame dynamics and combustion instabilities,<br \/>\n(iii) study passive and active flow control strategies for flame stabilisation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u2022 PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related fields.<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent computational skills and interest in CFD programming. Our codes are based on Fortran, but previous experience in C\/C++ is also useful.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Experience during the PhD in the development of CFD codes for Large Eddy Simulation and\/or Reactive Flows.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Fluent English language.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">WHAT DO WE OFFER?<br \/>\nThe contract is offered for 1-2 years starting in early 2023.
