Para os que participarem presencialmente, haver\u00e1 emiss\u00e3o de certificado (n\u00e3o \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria inscri\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00e9via).<\/p>\n<p>A large and increasing portion of today\u2019s scholarly research depends on research software. And this software is often open source, as part of open science. However, research software introduces new challenges that are not well-handled by our current system, including credit, funding, and maintenance. This talk will discuss work over the last decade to improve this situation, using examples from the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to highlight global process and its impact on scholarship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sobre o convidado<\/strong><br \/>\nDaniel S. Katz, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, is Chief Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and Associate Research Professor in Computer Science, Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering, and the School of Information Sciences.
