The program is located in the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering, which also takes part in three undergraduate courses with a significant recognition in its field of knowledge: Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Electronics, Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Automation and Energy Systems and Computing Engineering (all of them with a high demand among high school students and evaluated with 5 stars – maximum – by the Students Guide ranking). It possesses na excellent infrastructure for the development of technical and research activities in all of its respective fields of insertion, together with high quality human resources.

For the development of the M.Sc. and D.Sc. researches, the program has 26 research laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment, which receive institutional support and resources coming from funding agencies and partnerships with public and private companies.

The TI infrastructure is constantly replaced to make sure the students have access to the most up-to-date resources for computation and access to knowledge databases. The amount of resources is enough to make sure that every student has access to a personal computer and to high-speed wireless internet, and also to software needed to undertake the disciplines and other activities of the program.

The Engineering School library which supports the program is inserted in the Integrated System of Libraries of USP (SIBi), which provides access to the contente of other 42 libraries of other units of USP, 19 sectional libraries of UNICAMP, 28 libraries of UNESP and other affiliated national and international ones, including the CAPES portal. Among other services, the EESC library offers technical support to bibliographical search. It participates in consortia of bibliographical swapping, which enables the user to obtain electronic copies of documents in a matter of a few hours and, in most cases, at no cost.

The program also has rooms for classes and seminars, amphitheater and exclusive technical/administrative support within the department facilities.

The graduate students have access to scholarships through grant programs, foreign language courses, oportunities for exchange with foreign universities and support for participation in national and international scientific events. There is also medical, dental and psychological assistance, low-cost options for meals and cultural and sports activities.
